Welcome! Conventional Combat will return for AnimeBoston 2010, April 2-4.

So what is Conventional Combat, you ask? It's our latest experiment in gaming awesomeness. We took a bunch of artists from AnimeBoston's Artist Alley, and had them each draw art for a game card. But, instead of selling it like a traditional game, we've given each artist a stack of their own cards, and control over how they wish to sell or distribute them. So, to collect the game, simply visit the artists at AnimeBoston! You'll need the base set of cards from us to play, which you can purchase at the Asmadi Games booth in the Dealer's Room. It will cost $1, and includes 5 cards, two dice, and a drawstring bag to hold your collection in.

We'll be handing out fliers at both the Asmadi Games booth(332/333) where you can purchase the base set, and in Artists Alley, at the tables where you can buy cards. The flier (Front, Back), serves as both a checklist for cards and a player aid to teach you how to play. Regular, slightly more detailed paper rules will also be available when you purchase the base set (PDF Link).

Conventional Combat is a quick and fun dueling game. You can play single duels, which take about a minute, or extended battles(best of five), which take around 5 minutes.
